I’m an award-winning, Cincinnati based creative with over ten years of experience in design. I believe that brands find the most success when they understand and genuinely meet user’s needs. So, I’m happiest when I’m able to employ my aptitude for strategic thinking to craft holistic consumer experiences that do just that. I love to learn and find joy in creative collaboration. Fortunately, my work in a variety of design fields and cross-disciplinary environments has provided ample opportunities for both.
Most recently, I found success at Organic where I played a key role in conceptualizing and executing an award winning campaign resulting in unprecedented results for our animal healthcare client. When I wasn’t dreaming up large-scale campaigns or developing new brand identities, I was designing marketing communications where I worked to ensure even the smallest element was working it’s hardest.
A survey specially designed to engage crop growers synergized with attention-grabbing giveaway signage to help Bayer Crop Science stand out at the nation’s largest farm expo. The Farm Progress Survey featured an accessible interface and entertaining questions that lowered barriers to completion. It encouraged email program opt-ins and strengthened brand perception by demonstrating that Bayer and growers speak the same language. Just as importantly, the survey allowed Bayer to gather lifestyle insights to better connect with their customers in the future.
Creative Director: Iain Jones, Senior Copywriter: Scott Danielson, Developer: Seth BaurBayer Crop Science needed to draw traffic to their Farm Progress tent. Their goal was to make connections and gather grower email addresses. However, this request presented several challenges:
We created a series of giveaways to drive traffic into Bayer’s tent. An integrated countdown clock created a sense of urgency while providing a reason for attendees to return to the tent at a later time — or to linger just a little longer.
Inside the tent, growers are invited to complete a short survey on iPads in exchange for Bayer Crop Science swag. The survey questions are humorous and easy to answer, with branching logic and follow-up questions designed to uncover grower insights. After key questions, the survey reveals how the grower’s answer stacks up to other respondees, incentivizing progression and increasing the survey’s entertainment value. A large screen behind the iPad survey bay attracts attention from a distance. It displays aggregate results in real time, adding to the fun and allowing attendees to compare themselves to growers from across the country.
We leveraged insights gained from the survey to deliver more valuable content to growers. A Farm Progress follow up email demonstrated Bayer Crop Science’s promise to use provided data to better connect with and serve growers.
